Kentucky Student Environmental Coalition (KSEC), based in Lexington, provides organizing and training for high school and college students across the Commonwealth of Kentucky, with the goal to create an environmentally sustainable, socially just, and economically vibrant Kentucky for the well-being of all.
2023 Grant Recipient. With support from the Legacy Fund, KSEC continued connecting with young people on the frontlines, working towards a just, sustainable future for all. In partnership with Kentucky Tenants, a grassroots housing justice organization, KSEC plans to move into their first bricks-and-mortor workplace.
2022 Grant Recipient. Support from the Legacy Fund allowed KSEC to support recovery work in the wake of Eastern Kentucky flooding. In addition, funds helped 15 young people to attend National Power Shift Convergence.
