FEC focuses on mutual aid, community-building, and harm reduction in Southwest Virginia. Mutual Aid projects include the 24/7 take-what-you-need, leave-what-you-can community free fridge and essential needs supply distributions. A primary community-building project is the new community space in Blacksburg, VA. FEC is fully volunteer-run and operates almost entirely on grassroots donations.
